An implant is a surgical procedure that places a titanium post into the jawbone in the area of missing teeth. This titanium post fuses with the jawbone over the course of a few months. Once the fusion has taken place, a crown can be fabricated that will rest and be supported by the post. Bone grafts are required if the support in your jawbone isn’t adequate. We utilize a 3 dimensional CT dental scan. This scan differs from a conventional medical CT scan in that it is used strictly for dentistry and has significantly less radiation. This 3D technology allows us to very predictably and accurately place the implant.
